Version 3.5 of IDERI note brings some new features, both for the desktop platform and for the IDERI note mobile client app. You can find out exactly what these are in the following blog post.
Support of push messages for mobile devices
While the IDERI note Mobile Client App, which was released with IDERI note 3.3, only supported the pull model, IDERI note 3.5 now comes with the integration of push services.
What does this mean exactly?
If a new message is created in the IDERI note administrator, users of the IDERI note mobile app are immediately informed with a push notification on their device. This means that faster and more accurate notification via mobile devices is now also guaranteed.
End-to-end encryption
In order to continue to guarantee our customers the usual high standard of security, IDERI note push notifications are sent end-to-end encrypted.
The messages are sent using push services from the on-premise installation of IDERI note 3.5 via the mobile push infrastructure, which consists of servers operated by IDERI, to the servers operated by Google or Apple.
After receiving an end-to-end encrypted message, only the addressed device is able to decrypt and verify this message. Neither IDERI nor Apple or Google can extract or decrypt content.
New features for the IDERI note desktop platform
There are also a few adjustments for the desktop version, which we summarize here:
- IDERI note PowerShell module: A new component with which it is possible to control IDERI note from PowerShell. For example, messages can be added, queried, updated or deleted.
- IDERI note Server Support Wizard: Here you can now restrict which data is collected to be sent to IDERI Support. Optionally, the output file can also be encrypted.
- IDERI note certificate MMC snap-in: Now allows you to delete multiple certificates in one go.
