Internalarm

An internal alarm is an alarm variant. It is triggered by an internally armed alarm system in a protected object. The internal alarm is used to protect specific areas within a building.

Its purpose is to alert to forced entry or fires. It reacts immediately to emergency situations.

The alarm system does not trigger an external or remote alarm. The warning signal remains in the building and triggers only the internal signaling devices. Thus, the alarm radius is limited to the protected building.

Functionality

The range of the warning signal is limited exclusively to a specific, protected object or is used for individual areas of facilities. The internal alarm controls only the internal signaling devices. An audible alarm or a visual alarm is often used here. The two warning signals can also be effectively combined. As soon as the sensors of the internal alarm detect suspicious activities at e.g. windows or doors, the warning signal is forwarded to the signal transmitters.

As a result, the sirens of the acoustic alarm or the lights of the visual alarm are activated. The alarm system serves to deter the perpetrators and at the same time inform the security personnel.

In contrast to an external alarm or silent alarm, no external assistance agencies are informed. However, there is an option to forward the internal alarm to third parties. This means that a neighbor or an emergency call and service control center can also be called in if necessary. However, this requires an additional link to external locations.

Application areas

An internal arm should only be used in certain areas. These include, for example:

The installation is therefore particularly suitable in protected objects that already have an internal security service. This can react and intervene immediately after the alarm is triggered.
This time advantage enables security to act quickly and arrest the perpetrators if they have not already been deterred by acoustic warning signals.

Subsequently, the security service can take the appropriate measures and a responsible external agency can be alerted. In addition, the internal alarm is also suitable for carrying out test alarms as part of a fire drill. Schools or hospitals, for example, can benefit from this. The use for test purposes thus enables many areas of application in public facilities and buildings.

An internal alarm can be linked to the IDERI note notification software. Thus, all employees in the building can be informed about the triggering of the alarm. This allows you to act accordingly and get to safety in time.
